Happy Easter and 4 Months
What a wonderful weekend we had!! We waited 3 years to celebrate holidays with a family of our own, and we got to this weekend! It was Addison's first Easter :). She was spoiled rotten by my parents and family and some of our friends. Kind of makes us wonder how Christmas and her first birthday will be.
We recorded lots of moments which was wonderful...she even plays with tissue paper when you open her gifts :)
My poor girl celebrated with a huge smile even though she has her first cold. She has still been her happy, super adorable self...
We started cereal on Friday, and she was okay with it...didn't love it but didn't hate it either. Each day we try it once. So far no allergic reaction YAY!! We started her on the "My Organic Baby" rice cereal. Here's hoping she likes it, and we can start it at night and get more sleep. For the past two weeks she goes to bed between 8-9, wakes at 1 and 4 and 7, and sleeps until 9am'ish...
I can't believe she will be 4 months old tomorrow...my girl is growing up too quick...
Here are some pics of her in her super cute dress for Easter

A few firsts
Addison has learned to roll over now and blow raspberries :)
She rolled over for the first time on Tuesday April 19th, two times in a row in her crib...Yesterday April 20th she learned to blow raspberries with bubbles...
She is the light of our lives and we can't wait until her first Easter this weekend...yay!!

Night one...
I have been dealing with a few emotions that I have not wanted to share due to being judged...
When I was pregnant I was the type that "baby in his/her crib or room from day one"...Addison spent the first week with us - Aaron couldn't sleep so she started sleeping in her room. For almost 1.5 months she was in there, on and off...then that horrible gassy/colic period started and she wouldn't sleep anywhere but on me...and that was the only way she would sleep for 2 weeks...and now its just a bad habit...she wants to be with me...I know I taught her that...and for the most part I don't mind sharing my bed with my girl...but lately I have feared I am doing an injustice to her by not teaching her to sleep on her own...so my friend lent me a book - yes, you read that right, I'm reading a parenting book - never thought I would as each child is so different - but I wanted to see what this so called "baby whisperer" has to say.
I read the chapter on sleep and it does make complete sense...recognize the sleep signs she exibtis, do your routine and put her down just as she is going into dream land...easy right? Not really...she wakes 10-20 mins into being in her bed...and her startle reflex is horrible - her arms go out and she startles as she goes down...
We have repeated this once tonight for bedtime and twice for nap times as well...
I feel good about our little routine we have each day...It isn't set in stone - its hard with a breast fed baby - and she seems to be thriving...just not as independent as I would like, some days ;)...
Ill continue this ramble later on...

April is IF awareness month
Today marks a special day on our journey to parenthood...it was the first day of my last cycle...
Infertility is a heart-wrenching, faith-questioning, relationship-testing, life-altering experience. April is Infertility Awareness Month. Whether a friend, a family member, a colleague or yourself has fought through this difficult fate that MILLIONS of women are fighting day in and day out. Post this as your status if you or someone you know has walked to hell and back for the chance to be a MOM.
