2 Months

My little girl is smiling and talking now...her voice is sweet like sugar...when you say "ahhhh" to Addison she will repeat it :). It is so rewarding it is crazy.

She is still exclusively nursed, and I plan on nursing until 6 months at least...

We booked her baptism for June 26th :)

She is growing like crazy, already over 11lbs...my chunky monkey...

We try and go for walks whenever the weather is nice...it is great...

My favourite part of day is first thing in the morning when she is all smiles when you change her.

Okay...that was rough...

She was all smiles and so happy to be naked (which she always is when she's naked) and she got her two shots :(
I have never seen my little girl so sad before and her face was so red...I have never felt so sick :( I hated that she was in pain...
I will update with all her milestones tomorrow...I am just snuggling my girl for the rest of the night

Shots and two months old

Tomorrow Addison will be two months old - she will be technically 9 weeks on Saturday...not sure how that works...I would have to say that they have been the best two months of my life, and challenging as well.

I feel bad even writing that some moments you are ready to pull your hair out but it is reality. I would die for my daughter and do anything for her...but some moments are tough, such as last night. She gave me a run for my money last night. She would not nap during the day at all...and last night she was so over tired she was crying and wouldn't go to sleep until 10ish...I finally put her in her crib to cry it out as anything Aaron or I would do wasn't helping much...she fell asleep for 1 hour and woke but then slept after that until 3 for a feed and slept until 9:30...

She has a rash that we went to the ER for last Saturday as her eye was very swollen and we have tried everything they told us to do and nothing has helped or brought the rash down...

I am sitting with her at the drs for her 2 month shots...I will ask about the rash while we are here...

While I was in labour we had the TV on in the birthing suite...and if you are from the GTA you know CITY TV plays the fireplace logs on Christmas eve...so we had that on in the background to bring some festivities to us...

Going back to exactly a year before, my sister bought me a silver Christmas ornament that says "believe" on it...she said she believed our miracle would come to us...

While Addison was being born "Believe" by Josh Groban was playing...how amazing is that? It still gives me goose bumps to think of it...

Only now can I read the lyrics...I weep when I hear this song...

6 weeks old...

I can't believe our little girl is 6 weeks old already...where has the time gone???

I am sitting here looking at her and I could be biased but she is the most beautiful little miracle ever...my little princess :)

Yesterday I fell even more in love with our little miracle, if that was even possible. We were playing on her baby Einstein play mat and her reactions to the lights and my talking were just phenomenal...she was all smiles and she even is trying to talk/laugh...best moment :)

Addison's first summer family vacation is booked for the last week of July. We are going to Tobermory. we are going with Grama and Grampa in their RV...we are very excited :)

We have an appointment on Thursday night to start an RESP and get life insurance for Addison.

This being Addison's first Valentines day we have cards for Daddy and Grama and Grampa :) I am also hoping to get to Glazed Expressions in downtown Georgetown to get her hand/foot prints on a ceramic plate for Daddy and Grama and Grampa...

Well she is snoozing on my chest - her favourite place - so I am going to enjoy this moment...

The hard days...

Not everyday as a parent is easy - most days aren't, but when they smile at you, it makes your heart melt...the last few days have been very trying and stressful to say the least.

As Karolyn and I said this morning "two for one deal on eBay, Addison and Emilie" lol...I feel bad saying that now but when your stressed, the baby/child hasn't slept and is screaming...things aren't pretty.

Most days (if I am not going out) I am wearing a shirt with easy access for nursing and if you forget a nursing pad, you get wet spots on your shirt, and then stains!! Such a sexy way to look ;)

Addison has had horrible gas the last few days...not sure where it came from but it was horrible. As a parent knowing your baby is in pain and there is little to nothing to do for gas.

We tried pumping her legs, tummy massages, gripe water, oval and nothing worked. With being in pain she wasn't sleeping so in 48 hours she maybe slept 8 hours! Talk about stressful. We took her to the walk in clinic (think we found a new dr as well, no more driving to Toronto) and he said its gas and to try these probiotic drops called Bio Gais...within an hour she finally fell asleep and stayed asleep until 3 am for a feed and went back to sleep until 7 am...my poor princess...

I love my daughter to death, would do anything for her, but some days are trying...

Today has been much better...and hopefully these drops do the trick.

On a final note...the love you have for your child is like no other love you have ever experienced...seeing her in pain was very rough, I think I shed more tears than her :(
